theCommons Academy exists to help operators and teams move with AI without losing the signal that only humans carry.
The FuBO movement
FOBO — the Fear of Becoming Obsolete — is the diagnosis. FuBO is our answer. The F? It started as exactly what you think it did — the movement kept the acronym and the attitude.
FOBO is what happens when an experienced operator looks at the AI wave and freezes — sure they're behind, unsure where to step, watching their confidence collapse in real time. We named it because naming a thing makes it operable.
theCommons Academy is the answer: a Living Library of tools, live member sessions on Zoom, and a small set of programs that take you from AI-anxious to amplified — from freezing at the keyboard to shipping work you're proud of, with the strength only you carry at the center.
We don't sell automation. We sell the practice of keeping yourself irreplaceable while the work changes underneath you.
theCommons Academy is the practical, self-serve side of this work. Acute Incite is the consulting and facilitation practice it grew from. Same standard, same tools, two ways in.
Who we are
theCommons Academy brings together operators, facilitators and collaborators who help experienced professionals build an AI way of working they can trust.
Co-Founder & Program Lead
Krystal leads the Academy's program direction and learning experience. She helps experienced professionals navigate uncertainty, strengthen their judgment and turn AI from an abstract possibility into a practical, human-centered way of working. She is also Chief Transformation Officer and Partner at Acute Incite.
Facilitator & Certified GROW Coach
Dwayne facilitates theCommons Academy programs alongside Krystal, helping participants turn AI from an abstract idea into practical capability. A Certified GROW Coach with expertise informed by the Theory of Constraints and ISD certification, he helps people identify what is getting in the way, improve how work flows and move from conversation to purposeful action.
Strategic Advisor
Eric helps shape the Academy's practical application of AI to leadership and knowledge work. As CEO and Partner at Acute Incite, he brings a management-consulting and facilitation lens to helping professionals build AI collaborators that expand how they think, execute and operate.
